No, they are not. Everything I write in this series is entirely fiction. The names, characters, and incidents portrayed in my Book of Life short stories, novellas, and novels are the work of the author’s imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events or localities is entirely coincidental.

That’s my fault. I started with a very “literary fiction” cover, reacted by commissioning a new (but still not quite right) cover, and then pivoted to a “psychological drama/suspense” cover—very quickly, but not quite quickly enough, it would seem.

Every copy of the book you can purchase now has the new cover, not the bright gold Philadelphia skyline cover that I still love and will probably use for a limited edition one day. Unfortunately, Amazon is taking its time updating the book pages, and Goodreads catalogs every cover forever, so you may still see the old cover.
